o   After getting your wisdom teeth removed you need to bite on the gauze for at least 8 hours as there will be a lot of constant bleeding. Don keep on changing the gauze pad after regular intervals.
o   It is recommended to use pillows to lift your head up as lying flat on the bed with no pillows could result in more bleeding.
o   Understand this swelling is something that is natural process that you have to go through after the surgery but you are advised to use an ice pack on the checks and use regularly the anti biotic.
o   Protection of blood clot after the surgical procedure is the toughest and the most important ask so you are advised to not to use any hot liquids and avoid the use of straw. Straw is something that can put air into your pressure with force and can dislodge the blood clot.
o   Smoking is not a good thing in any case but if you are a smoker and just got your wisdom teeth pulled than it is better to avoid smoking for at least 24 hours if you don’t want to have any complications in the future.
o   A tea spoon of salt mixed in a cup of warm water is a great option to reduce the pain and fasten the healing process.
o   Try to use more and more liquid diet and soft food after the surgery. Pudding and soups are most suited in this situation.
o   Don’t brush your teeth for at least 24 hours after the surgery.
